Victorian farmhouse in Hampshire

Gemma Scott Knight grew up in Hong Kong and after university she returned there, working as an interior designer. After marriage and with three daughters, the family returned to the UK and three years ago bought a five bedroom Victoria farmhouse in Hampshire. The property came with an adjacent barn, part of which is now the showroom for Ashoka, the lampshade business Gemma and her sister Abigail Rutherford run together. 'Growing up, we were surrounded by colour and pattern which our mother adored - it's in our DNA so whilst travelling in India together, we decided to create a business working with the printers and weavers there. Ashoka is the result.'
