OSCAR WINNING

L'Oscar Hotel in London, designed by Jacques Garcia

With only thirty nine bedrooms, each of them individually designed by Jacques Garcia, staying in the 5 star hotel is a highly sought after experience. The owners commissioned Paris-based Jacques Garcia to design the interior which is housed within an impressive 'Wrenaissance' style building by architect Arthur Keen dating from 1900-1903. Originally known as Baptist Church House, it was the headquarters of the British Baptist Church and a statue of John Bunyan, author of The Pilgrim's Progress can still be seen on the facade. The project which took some five years to complete is a testament to the painstaking detail that has gone into the decorative aspect of the project.
