The owners of Virginia Cottage in the Cotswolds are American and self-confessed urbanites who determined to provide plenty of countryside experience for their two young children with holidays had centred on visits to a �charming French property in Normandy� and converted estate stables in a classic English landscape. Having looked at various rental properties which never quite matched up to the dream a friend suggested viewing a cottage for sale in an area they had come to know well with what they describe as an essential, first rate pub and restaurant within walking distance. �We first saw the cottage on a lovely sunny day, it seemed quite spacious but was also compact enough to manage as a second home and best of all it just felt great.�
