Award winning restoration

One of London’s most unusual and charming properties

Despite the Japanese knotweed and the perilous state of the roof, builder Vicky Rigby spotted the potential of this tiny detached house and snapped it up. Setting out to save it from falling down, which took over a year, Vicky is now the owner of one of London’s most unusual and charming properties and has won a Hammersmith Conservation Award. While meticulously restoring this quirky gem on the outside, inside she has created a surprisingly spacious oasis. There is no clutter, just calm, clean lines in white and cream that lead the eye out to the walled garden. She has transformed a collapsing folly into a comfortable, contemporary haven.
