A fortunate change of mind

Completely transformed 1920's London apartment

When the owner of this 1920's London apartment inherited it from her father she initially planned to sell it, thinking it unsuitable for modern family life. However she asked her interior designer friend Stephanie Dunning to take a look at it before it went on the market and Stephanie convinced her to think again. A year on the flat is unrecognisable - the original layout of the living area completely reconfigured to create a bright, comfortable, contemporary home. Part of the brief was that the collection of antique marine and topographical paintings should remain in situ and they have been skilfully incorporated into the scheme.
