Charming and unpretentious farmhouse in the Mallorcan countryside

This charming, unpretentious farmhouse in the Mallorcan countryside was bought by local lawyer JG and his wife some years ago. Although the house was derelict when he first saw it, JG was entranced by the peaceful surroundings and the prospect of restoring the simple country property in authentic style. The house is now the couple's weekend retreat - a complete contrast to their weekday home, an apartment in central Palma. The restoration was undertaken with help from an English house designer/building contractor, a resident of Mallorca for many years.
