Shilstone House

Award winning restoration

It was a virtual ruin, found and restored by Sebastian and Lucy Fenwick but there has been a house on that site since the Doomesday Book. It's near Plymouth in Devon, near the village of Modbury. Sebastian and Lucy now live there with their son Ned, 6. Lucy works for Sothebys. Shilstone is available for weddings between April and September. Shilstone won Country Life's Restoration of the Century title last year and it has been praised highly by all sorts of people from English National Heritage .
