Moorish style Portuguese hotel with beach bar and Michelin star restaurant on Algarve coast

Vila Joya is a small exquisite Palazzo overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Coast near Albufeira in Portugal’s Algarve. The hotel is built in the Moorish style of architecture, yet inside it is far from austere. Beautifully furnished reception rooms, terraces with wonderful views, restaurants which serve incredible Michelin starred food (it is the only 2 Michelin star restaurant in the whole of Portugal) and luxurious suites and rooms with ocean views. If this isn’t enough there is an open air restaurant next to the pool and a funky beach bar for total relaxation. The hotel is owned by a German family and run by their young daughter Joy Jung.
